Some characteristics:
Study of diseases that are typical from tropical areas as malaria, yellow fever, schistosomiasis and others. Also, the study of infectious diseases such as the ones caused by an infection of HTLV-1 and of genetic pathologies, as the falciform anemia that is considered to be neglected in studies.  There will be emphasized the vectors, hosts and intrinsic mechanisms to the organism, as well as the impact of these diseases regarding environmental health, while the cause of outbreaks and epidemies. There will also be studied the conditions of the origin and Evolution, as well as obstacles for the control of tropical diseases that are neglected in Brazil and in other developing countries. The teaching staff is made of professors/ researchers in the areas of study.

Prerequisites:
- Students, researchers and professional of Medicine; Biology and other fields of Health Sciences.
- The classes will be taught in English.
